“More than a quarter, 28%, of workers in the US have backed out of a job offer after initially accepting it, according to a survey by Robert Half International Inc.
Reasons for backing out included:
44% received a better offer from another company
27% received a convincing counteroffer from their current employer
19% heard bad things about the company after accepting”
